After brewing some tea, save the tea bags for your next plant potting or re-potting to give your plants a nutritional boost.
Place the tea bags over the pot's drainage hole. When you water your plants, the soil and plants will soak up nutrients from the tea. Readers' Digest says brewed tea is good for roses because of the tea's tannic acid, as well as ferns and other acid-loving plants.
The tea bags also serve a second purpose in the planter by covering the drainage hole.
